The stone city

This photo was taken in Peru, and of course, everyone knows where it is. The photo shows us the beautiful city of Machu Picchu. I took the photo from my cell phone, before it started to rain over the stone city.

In this photo we can see the typical stairs, corridors and stone houses . To the left are some alpacas, which are on the grass. I remember trying to take a good photo of the alpacas, but it was forbidden to approach them.

Behind you can see the hill of Wayna Picchu, that the local guides said that it looks like a person's nose hahaha it can be. Actually, the interesting thing about Wayna Picchuis that you can go up narrow stairs and reach the viewpoint, where the city can be seen in its most spectacular version.

If you look the photo closely, you will see many people walking in one of its main corridors, used to reach the roofed houses. These houses were rebuilt and now tourists could learn about the traditional way of building roofs of the ancient Inca town.

In my opinion, it is a wonderful experience. You should not only visit Machu Picchu, but there are also other places in Peru, such as Cuzco or Ollantaytambo, where the ancient pre-Hispanic ruins are mixed with the Peruvian cities where people lives until to day.
